The Sept. 11-12 event draws people from Trimble and surrounding counties and features many top bands from as far away as Louisville.
This year’s festival has a musical lineup on Saturday that includes the Louisville Dulcimer Society, The Kinmans of Madison, Ind., The Sundowners, an old-time country music band, and The Names, a classic rock band. On Sunday, the schedule features Due South Band, a modern-traditional country band, at 12:30 p.m. They will be followed at 2:30 p.m. by the Doctors Band, a local favorite that plays pop and rock and roll music.
In addition to arts and crafts, vendors will be selling antiques, candles, stained glass, wood products and more. The apple pie baking contest is open to anyone. First place receives $100, second place receives $50, and third place $25. For more information on the contest, contact Leslie Hawkins at (502) 255-7103.
The Trimble Thimbles quilting club also returns with their quilt display and raffle of a large quilt. Tickets will be sold at the festival.
The festival also features activities for children, including an arts and crafts area.
The festival will go on rain or shine, and admission is free. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday (EDT-fast time).
