Travis Tritt to play this year’s
Swiss Wine Festival in Vevay

Events features parade, dancers,
beer garden, wine tent

VEVAY, Ind. (August 2018) – The Swiss Wine Festival has announced its big name entertainment for the 2018 Swiss Wine Festival, scheduled for Aug. 23-26. Travis Tritt will perform on Friday, Aug. 24, with opening act Blake Billman at 6:45 p.m. and Dustin Huff at 7 p.m. Saturday’s schedule features Saffire Express at 9:30 p.m. and a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. All musical shows are free with festival admission. The festival features a beer garden and wine tent as well as craft beer from nine breweries.
Tritt is a well-known country music singer from Georgia who has enjoyed vast success. “Country Club,” “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody” and “Drift Off to Dream” peaked at Nos. 2 and three on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, all which led Tritt to win Top New Male Artist award from Billboard and the Country Music Association Horizon Award (now known as the New Artist Award). Additionally, in 1991 the Recording Industry Association of America marked Tritt’s debut album “Country Club” as certified platinum.

Travis Tritt is the headline act Friday, Aug. 24, at the 47th annual Swiss Wine Festival.

Two years after his debut, Tritt’s sophomore album, “It’s All About to Change,” was released. Literally speaking, this album changed everything when the album shipped 3 million copies and all four of its singles reached the top five on the country music charts. Along with his first album, this release became triple platinum certified by the RIAA.
At the same time, his conspicuous lack of a cowboy hat and musical aggressiveness set him apart. The next series of albums, seven of which are certified platinum or higher, scored him more hit singles and led him to amass more than 25 million in career album sales, two Grammys, three CMA Awards and a devoted fan base that filled venues coast to coast.
The multiple stages feature many more musical acts, all of which are listed on the website.
Now in its 47th year, the Swiss Wine Festival – held in Vevay, Ind. – uniquely blends tradition and fun for the whole family. From opening day to closing time, the Swiss Wine Festival caters to all ages and interests.
In addition to musical guests and entertainment acts, the Swiss Wine Festival offers riverboat cruises on the scenic Ohio River, a wine tasting pavilion featuring Indiana wineries, a beer garden, and craft beer from nine breweries – along with the annual parade, fireworks, amusements rides, food and so much more.
